Seal: Monster-Part Drop Rate

Back to Home - All Weapon Seals

Monster-Part Drop Rate is a weapon seal in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. It increases the drop rate of monster parts from defeated enemies.

According to information in this IMGurl album (slide 79), the Monster-Part Drop Rate seal does practically nothing on its own -- it seems to function such that the base number of monster parts dropped for a whole battle is multiplied by the factor indicated from the weapon percentage, so that for example a weapon with a 50% drop rate buff which would normally get 8 Bokoblin Horns in a specific battle will instead get 12.

This is different from the way cooking for +45% material drop rate affects the drops. According to the linked album, the same tested battle ([Chief-of-the-Dunes Battle]) using a +45% cooking buff drops roughly 250 Bokoblin Horns (about 20 times the drops with only the 50% Monster Part Drop Rate farming sword), and stacking a 50% Monster Part Drop Rate sword with the same cooking buff drops roughly 300 Bokoblin Horns.

Therefore, it seems that building a drop-rate farming weapon is only marginally useful, and only if one also plans to use cooking to increase drop rates.

Shape: Circle

Appears as a hidden seal on weapons:

Note: A weapon receives a +5 damage buff from having any two weapon seals of the same suit, a +15 damage buff from having any four seals of the same suit, and a total +20 damage buff for having stacks of four seals in one suit and two seals in a different suit. Six seals of the same suit will only give a +15 damage buff. Therefore, if you wish to plan your weapon build in advance, it is important to know the hidden seals of your chosen weapon.
